Cannot handle Web Mercator data #204

When I upload a shapefile in Web Mercator, it ends up pretty significantly offset to the north (multiple km).

I'm pretty certain this is because I prepared the data using an OGR-based application; see https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3962.

Ah, and the reason it looks right in QGIS is that OGR recognizes the .prj as specifying a spherical projection, while ArcMap (and presumably GeoTools) don't.
