Support a local folder in Files if users prefer not to use iCloud. I know, I’m weird. I only have one iOS device that I backup to my PC, so I turn iCloud off for pretty much everything. Maybe even support an arbitrary folder from Files so users can use folders from their cloud providers of choice that support Files? It seems like the app is read-only, so it’s probably quite safe to implement, which is nice.
I would love this feature, as I store my .cook recipes in Obsidian, which stores everything in a local folder. Having that keep everything synced up would be great.
