Not a bug, just an enhancement request. Thanks for all your work on this!

Great idea. I am actually already working on the import process, can't promise
an ETA,
but it's on the TODO list.

(Note to self, along with CSV import, consider other formats.)

CSV import in SVN. Still need to polish it up, but it's there.

CSV import now works.

You can export XLS as CSV. You can also rename TXT to CSV. Specific format is
required.

Has this update been pushed to the Android market? I was hoping to play with
it and can't seem to find an import option with CSV. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Yep, it's there in 1.0.13 and 1.0.14 (I just pushed 1.0.14 to fix a BookSearch
bug I found after releasing 1.0.13 - doh!.)

Under the new "action bar" on screen menu, far right icon with the wrench is
"manage data" and it has the CSV import/export options. The CSV import is very
inflexible right now (requires specific format, see help on that screen), but
it's a start. I plan to make it support other common CSV formats (goodreads)
and XML formats (Google Books) very soon.

Got it! Apparently I didn't have 1.0.14. Have now uploaded 100+ books. Of
note, at least for me, after viewing the CSV in a spreadsheet, viewing it again
in a text editor shows that any value with a space in it (such as an author's
name) is surrounded by "quotes". On import, this means duplicate books due to
different author names unless the quotes are removed by hand. I don't know if
there's anything you can do about this, but thought I'd let you know, in case
other people complain.

Regardless, I love the new import ability! I would love to be able to sort by
author last name...I suppose that's a different bug to file, though.

Thanks for the info on the dupe author csv thing. I didn't know about that,
sorry. I'll add a separate issue for that.

As for author last name sort, that's on the list, but it's much more
complicated than it sounds. Some sources give just "name" and it's tricky to
sort out what is what (Ms. Mary Jo van Der Vorst MD, for example). That and
some other complications, but I am working on it.
