Mayavi2 does not start

Since I've installed 2.7.2.2.b4 I cannot start mayavi2. On the Windows bar I 
can see that mayavi is loaded and is there, but I cannot access it: the main 
window does not appear. If I right click on the Win bar and I close the 
application, I even get the confirmation small window "Do you want to exit 
mayavi2 yes/no". 

Interestingly, I've disinstalled everything and reinstalled 2.7.2.1 (previously 
it worked fine) and I had the same problems. Now I cannot work with Mayavi2.
By the way, I have also a Mayavi2 on a ubuntu system and I have since a couple 
of days troubles with a strange memory error. Can it be that Enthought simply 
want to stop the free access to mayavi?

In every case I installed all Pythonxy packages (full installation), I used no 
customized directories, default users and default path. I use Win XP as a 
normal user. Before I installed any Pythonxy I had before uninstalled 
(automatic uninstalling) any previous version. No care was used to remove keys 
or whatsoever.

Yes - already found that one.

Downgrade wxPython to 2.8.10.1 - this should solve the mayavi2 issue when using 
the beta.

Please install the Python(x, y) for all users (the beta should work for current 
user as well).

Enthought is a major sponsor of open source Python SW - they are definitely 
_not_ the source of the issues you're having.
