Mission Planner will not record EZ cap video source with HUD Overlay Box Checked #749

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Video feed from MinimOSD with OSD data displayed.
2. EZ Cap video at Receiver end.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Mission Planner will record video feed from MinimOSD only if HUD Overlay Box is
checked. Otherwise it records file as if there is no video feed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mission Planner 1.2.11
Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.
If there were a way to display and record information from the MinimOSD without
the HUD Information from the Mission Planner, this would be desirable. Thanks.

I am seeing the same issue with Mission Planner 1.2.59 and an EasyCap device
(Video Device: USB2.0 Grabber). If the HUD Overlay box is checked, video is
properly recorded. If the box is unchecked, the recording only shows the HUD
interface and no video input.

I'd like to record the video without the HUD, since I also have an OSD that
already displays that data.

I use the latest version of MP on Windows 8 with an EasyCAP USB device and
still have this issue.

I can find all other users who have the same issues on the web, but nowhere is
explained why this is the case.

With hud overlay enabled video from the quadcopter with OSD and HUD. With HUD
overlay disabled just a white screen ...

Can some one help me out here?

Thanks!
