2 years ago This issue still exists. With specifying option macauth coova-chilli doesn't send Access-Request to AAA. But if you set parameter as option macauth 1 and restart coova-chilli /etc/init.d/chilli restart it will work. Problem looks like in parsing
In openwrt when you enable the macauth option, it's ignored, the only way to make it work it's also enabling macallowed and specify manually the mac address of the devices to do the macauth, which in this case makes no sense as it will be impossible to have the mac addresses of the users of a public hotspot (so you can check using radius if the user already have an active session and not make him going through the usual login process)
