Zero appending instead of removing #11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start Adressbook with NO duplicated entries
2. Click "Search and Remove Doubles"
3. Click on "Start"
4. You see the removed contacts, with the number 0.
5. Click on the "Start"-button again, and a zero is appended to the previous 0.
6. Click again on the "Start"-button, a zero is appended again.

Target:
The zero should not be appended but remove the previous zero.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP SP2, Thunderbird 2.0.0.9
