Version 0.6 caused general instability and spontaneous activity in Firefox and Thunderbird #16

After installing DCM 0.6 today I had problems with windows spontaneously
opening in multiple instances when I clicked on a message to view it in the
preview pane. Also, in Firefox, when I closed a tab, it would re-open 4 to
5 new instances of that same tab. I would close them one-by-one and when I
closed the last of them, it would re-open again multiple times.

I don't know how reproduceable this is, because I didn't try to fix it.
However, when I uninstalled DCM and restarted both programs, the symptoms
disappeared.

Here's my configuration and what I did with DCM.
1. Windows XP (with current updates) on a standard Dell celeron desktop. a
slow but stable machine.
2. Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 with add-ons:
     - TalkBack 2.0.0.9
     - SyncKolab 1.0.1
     - Lightning 0.8
3. Firefox 3.0 with add-ons:
     - AdBlock Plus 0.7.5.5
     - Better Gmail 2 0.5
     - Cooliris Previews 2.6.4
     - Download Statusbar 0.9.6.3
     - FireFTP 0.99.1
     - FoxMarks 2.0.47.4
4. Installed DCM 0.6, restarted, and scanned for duplicates.
5. Started SyncKolab to update IMAP contact files.
6. Scanned for duplicates again to make sure the Sync didn't download the
duplicates again.
7. Started to read emails. Clicked on one message, and 5 seconds later a
window popped up with that message. Problem repeated.
8. Opened Firefox to try to find any bug reports. Extra tabs started
opening spontaneously after I clicked a link (once) from my home page.
9. Couldn't navigate menus due to constantly opening windows in
Thunderbird, so I hard-reset the computer, thinking it was a memory issue.
10. After restart, opened Thunderbird and found the same problem. Finally
figured out I could navigate menus by keyboard commands, uninstalled DCM
0.6 and restarted Thunderbird.
11. Everything now appears to be functioning normally.

Also, interestingly, I have all the same Add-ons installed on my Mac
(Powerbook G4, OS 10.4) and DCM seems to work just fine.

I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea what might have caused this, but I
wanted to report it.

Thanks,
Jared Sampson
