The motors work now and the GUI doesn't crash if the arduino disconnects

Am I understanding correctly that this pull request will merge again all the commits from @grudule in addition to those by @alexmomo1212 ?? Is it because we chose "squash and merge" the last pull request? I have to find some youtuber explaining clearly the differences between the various type of merging...
