I'll be happy to help here. Wondering though, do you plan to completely redo the tufte css in R or just use htmlwidgets infrastructure for the d3.js components, etc on top of the RStudio tufte?

@timelyportfolio thanks. That would be great. I haven't thought it through too well yet but that sounds like a good route. I'm in the middle of a bit of work at the moment but should have some time free in the next couple of days. Will get back to you soon
