I found open badges from Mozilla, I am still trying to understand how it works, because this seems to want to be a across the entire web system where anyone gives you badges.
So if one obtains badges with this system they can display them across the web but these badges from what I have gathered are mostly for educational purposes and i'm not sure how it would work with areyoujelly.

Based on my searching only today, AreYouJelly.com needs to launch with game mechanics. But You'll see how difficult this would be.
