Currently there is no visual indication that a file needs to be saved for the tags to be applied to the model (so unsaved changes icon) and there is nothing to indicate that the tags were successfully saved.
Potential solution as editing the text of the corresponding button with the following states:
"Original": Indicates no changes have been made to the textbox or file and these are the read-in tags from startup
"Update": Indicates that the textbox has been changed and the tag file needs updating from the textbox
"Saved": Indicates tags were successfully saved to the file and that no further updates to the textbox have been made since saving
