would it be possible to get some documentation? #1

would it be possible to get some documentation on hardware setup/mods necessary to do this upgrade? my wanhao mainboard died and i'm excited about this as a possibility

I have a plus clone as well.

so this project essentially will leave you with an external case, if you have another printer handy print the stl files in the hardware folder put your board in there. given the firmware here is 10 months old I would head to marlin and pull a copy of their code.

Your extruder pcb is useless here as it was designed for the original main board, I still haven't used out a good way to replace it that doesn't expose the pcb to a chance of grounding (this is why mine died). Thinking I might build a gerber and design a part for it to sit in.

A friend and I went a different route to this project, he has found a part to replace the Y axis protector inside the unit. We are yet to design a way to attach a screen to the front, we went with a 4inch wave share driven from octopi (thinking this was a mistake), so might yet move to the BTT TFT powered from SKR 1.3, If we go this way still keep the octpi in the mix. Unfortunately the pandemic has put a stop to our hacker days at the moment. Probably not the answer you were looking for I guess.
