Life Expectancy and Decomposition R Package

Hi @kathryntmorrison @sbh4th @jkaufman94 , There is one package on cran that appears to create life tables and calculate life tables, although the authors warn that the life table function has only been tested for data based on single year age groups, making me think that a function tested for abridged data is needed. Let's use this Issue to track functions that we'd like an R package to have. If you have any functions you think of, just add them here to this conversation so we can have a record of them.

Functions:

1. Calculate life expectancy
2. Perform Arriaga decomposition by age
3. Perform Arriaga decomposition by cause of death within age

Data visualizations:

1. view life expectancy over time for 1 or more groups. If groups == 2, then shade the life expectancy gap. Would be awesome to have these interactive (hovering functionality to display estimates of life expectancy and the gap that change as you hover over different years).
2. Arriaga decomposition bar charts (like those in Auger et al, 2014)
