Maybe there should be one issue where we can record all non-working stuff?
I have a couple of Toshiba C660 laptops. One was already stripped because somebody broke an usb port. There are two spi flash chips on there. I've tried to read them with an external programmer, but there is too much connected, and the voltage drops.
People on the flashrom IRC channel advised me to let the laptop power itself, then try again. Well that didn't help either. Desoldering and resoldering would work, but that's a lot of trouble.
Flashing the bios via the normal way is also not really possible without some modification. The flash utility refuses to flash the same version of the bios.
me_cleaner works fine on a bios file, and it may be flashable via other means, but it's not as simple as other laptops/computers.
