"Can't find ME PCI device" - is that normal? #372

I'm trying to apply me_cleaner to my 6th gen Thinkpad X1 Carbon. (i5-8250U) Before I flashed the image, intelmetool worked fine and returned the expected output. I tried with -S and no arguments, and it doesn't boot, but with -s (HAP bit only) it boots and stays on beyond 30 minutes. However, running sudo ./intelmetool -m returns Can't find ME PCI device. I've double checked that I've set iomem=relaxed. I've read a few threads saying that that means you've successfully removed ME, but I don't know if they're correct. Does that mean that I've successfully set the HAP bit, or is there a problem?

I'm pretty sure it's normal but I will subscribe to this anyways. This is also happening with me on openSUSE Leap 15.4 running on a POSITIVO N14 laptop motherboard with a T3500 CPU. I also get this output:

Good news, you have a `ICH9M LPC Interface Controller` so ME is present but can be disabled, continuing...
