@Ein-Tim
I know this might not be the best place to ask
I think 'here' is a rather good place to ask, because many people may have that question in mind, and it would be good to validate or adapt CWA in-app information as well as FAQ.
As far as I understand, the rules for this may differ between the states (Bundesländer) - it is always the question: who pays for it, and who has setup a budget ...
For Bavaria I have read "somewhere in a newspaper" that there is a budget ... but it does not cover private test centers, I should attend my doctor (and unfortunately I don't remember my source ....)
Recently (after 11 Oct) I was affected myself with a red warning, so I tried to search for this information at RKI, but couldn't find a clear statement ...
So, I called my doctor. According to RKI guidelines he is supposed to interview me and to do a risk assessment, and then decide further proceeding.
In my case we agreed on a PCR test. And, yes, I live in Bavaria.
@ndegendogo
Could be that there are even differences between the different federal states, but in general the TestV still mentions the CWA and one has the right to get tested if the CWA shows an encounter with increased risk, however the test must not necessarily be a PCR test.

@Ein-Tim On https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/WarnApp/Warn_App.html you can read:
@MikeMcC399 @Ein-Tim Thanks for pointing this out. Should probably be adapted. I will forward this to the RKI as well. Thanks again!
@MikeMcC399
Thanks for the note. Do you know when this information was added and if it's up to date?
@dsarkar Thank you. Maybe you could reopen the issue until further clarification from the RKI?

@Ein-Tim
Do you know when this information was added and if it's up to date?
The page https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/WarnApp/Warn_App.html has a status date on 6.10.2021 at the bottom.
RKI can check if they think this needs to be updated.
https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/WarnApp/Warn_App.html has been significantly changed:
@MikeMcC399
Wow, this was maybe the fasted change we ever saw from the RKI?
@dsarkar I guess the internal ticket can be set to resolved?
I will close this issue now, as finally answered.
@Ein-Tim @MikeMcC399 same internal ticket deals with our FAQ.
I expect that a similar wording will be adopted for our faq

You don't need to ask for a simple mark-up of screenshot from another website.
If you are using any other more extensive information from GitHub on Twitter you might like to give credit to the GitHub corona-warn-app community, if that makes sense in the context.
Your Question
The federal government decided to stop the provision of free public testing with effect from 11 October 2021 (Source). Now the question rises what happens if the Corona-Warn-App shows a high risk encounter (red tile). Will the user have to pay for the corona test himself or will this still be free of charge? I know this might not be the best place to ask, but maybe this issue finds his way to the RKI and from there to the BMG?
