Technical details

Describe the bug

The "Risk of Infection" section on the "Overview" screen does not mention that one can also get shown an increased risk of infection because of check-ins.

Here's a screenshot: image

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Open the Corona-Warn-App
  2. Click on the "i" icon in the top right corner
  3. Read through the section "Risk of Infection"
  4. See that there is no mention of check-ins

I would expect an Overview to cover the whole app functionality, but it seems that it has never been updated to cover functions which have been added over time, like:

This section needs a complete rework and overhaul.

@MikeMcC399

Agreed, I have already opened an issue for this a while ago: https://github.com/corona-warn-app/cwa-wishlist/issues/427

It was transferred from here (bug report) to the wishlist repository (enhancement request)...

MikeMcC399 commented 3 years ago

@Ein-Tim Thanks for the reference to https://github.com/corona-warn-app/cwa-wishlist/issues/427!

I think it is a bug for the Overview to claim "Exposure logging is one of the three central features of the app". In the meantime there are more central features than just three. Certificate handling is certainly a central feature of the app in the meantime. The release of certificates caused quite an increase in the download numbers at the time of release.

If the Overview is only going to deal with exposure logging, risk of infection and notifying other users, then at least in the heading of the Overview it needs to say what the Overview is an overview of. Otherwise it is misleading. Anybody selecting "Overview" from the app's top level menu would expect it to be an overview of the whole app.

This is a better overview:

I can't check for iOS though.

@MikeMcC399

Thank you! I checked under iOS and it includes the same text as Android now!

Therefore I'm closing this issue as fixed now.

@MikeMcC399 @Ein-Tim Thanks for the feedback. I forwarded the fix CONFIRMed to internal ticket.
