Missing documentation on Rapid PCR test #881

Closed MikeMcC399 closed 1 year ago

Where to find the issue

Solution Architecture document.

Describe the issue

The Solution Architecture document however does not cover this option.

Currently the Solution Architecture document covers only the classic back-end lab PCR test and Rapid Antigen Test, not the Point of Care (PoC) Rapid PCR Test:

Suggested change

Add the appropriate information concerning Rapid PCR tests to the Solution Architecture document.

We don't even officially know what the status of rapid PCR tests in the CWA is, so I am not OK with closing this issue.

The Solution Architecture document was last updated on Feb 7, 2022 (by me, incidentally).

It does not contain information about Rapid PCR tests.

According to https://www.coronawarn.app/en/faq/results/#glossary_rapid_pcr_test

"At the moment it is not possible to get a Rapid PCR Test result in the Corona-Warn-App, but the technical preparations have already been implemented in version 2.19."

I suggest to re-open the issue, but make it low priority until there is a decision to go live with Rapid PCR Tests in CWA. In that case the Solution Architecture document should be updated to include the architecture and process for dealing with Rapid PCR Test results.

I am sorry this was a mistake from my side. I have checked the linked Jira Issue EXPOSUREAPP-13064 and it has nothing in common with this issue right here.

I need to open a new issue.

EDIT: I found the issue in Jira: "Missing documentation on Rapid PCR test" EXPOSUREAPP-13063

Documentation for Rapid PCR test will not be necessary if it is never made productive. Rapid PCR test should be covered by SRS in CWA 3.0.
