FAQ: "Why is there a digital proof of vaccination?" out of date and overloaded #1512

Where to find the issue

Describe the issue

The article https://www.coronawarn.app/en/faq/#vac_cert_why answers the question:

Why is there a digital proof of vaccination?

with the text:

"At the beginning of the year, the European Council decided to launch an interoperable and standardized proof of vaccination for medical purposes. Germany is now quickly implementing this European decision in order to be able to provide all citizens who wish to do so with a digital proof of vaccination. In the meantime, the European Commission has also presented a draft regulation regulating an EU-wide recognition framework for (digital) certificates for vaccinations, tests and for persons with COVID-19 recovered status in order to facilitate the free movement of travelers. The EU's Digital COVID Certificate forms the legal framework for the member states' solutions."

  1. The text is out-of-date because the EU's certificate already came into force on July 1, 2021.
  2. Versions 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 of CWA have implemented each certificate type in turn.
  3. The article is titled with vaccination certificates and deals with test and recovery certificates as well.
  4. The article is in the vaccination section, not in the EU certificate section.

Suggested change

If that is a welcome idea I can create a PR for this proposal.

I have submitted a PR https://github.com/corona-warn-app/cwa-website/pull/1518 with an overview of certificate support. If this PR is accepted I will work on updating the https://www.coronawarn.app/en/faq/#vac_cert_why https://www.coronawarn.app/de/faq/#vac_cert_why FAQ articles.
