Quarantäneheld*innen platform integration #520

Problem and motivation

Hey there,

I'm Janik, one of the maintainers of www.quarantaenehelden.org. Our platform allows both people in quarantine and in risk groups to search for help with everyday tasks, such as groceries, dog walking, picking up mail, etc. Our platform has more than 40 000 registered helpers throughout Germany, and we are part of the official initiative of the German ministry of health, Zusammen gegen Corona. You can find our open-source project here.

The goal of our platform is to offer help to as many help-seeking citizens as possible, and recently, we have been thinking of ways to increase our reach further. We have already reached out to federal institutions, such as health departments, to spread awareness for the platform. Our primary motivation for this feature request is to extend further the way we can directly reach the target audience of our platform. The CWA is a great opportunity for this, as positively tested individuals and those who might have been exposed are using the application.

We think that it will be very beneficial for this user group to be directly informed about our platform and the possibility to reach out for help.

Yes - we are very eager to do it! We have plenty of developer resources available to create the relevant contributions and to make this happen :)

Hey @jagaSto ,

Thank you for the proposal. We have created a ticket in our internal Jira system where the feature integration will be discussed by the devs. We'll notify you here if we get any news about progress on this issue.

I assume the integration requires a lot of organizational syncing between your team and the CWA team, so I recommend that you additionally write an email to corona-warn-app.opensource@sap.com for that purpose and mention this issue.

Hey @heinezen,

Thank you for the information! We have reached out to the CWA team via the provided email. I also mentioned this in the email, but overall, the integration should be pretty straightforward - in the current scenario, we would only need to provide our logo and an URL to which the call-to-action should point. Can't wait to get more feedback here! 🙂

Are there any updates on this request? Have you decided to implement it? Again, we are very happy to offer any additional support you might need.

We have also reached out to your colleagues under the provided email last week, but we haven't heard back from them unfortunately just yet (except an automated response which gave us instruction on how to integrate our (non-existing) rapid test center into the CWA, which is obviously a false positive).

I don't want to lower your expectations here (and hope that it'll maybe go another (faster) way here), but such feature request as yours will directly go to the stakeholders, in our case the RKI/BMG. And this takes some time...
