Central repository to collect community feature requests and improvements. The CWA development ends on May 31, 2023. You still can warn other users until April 30, 2023. More information:
No nationality designations are currently used for addresses.
Suggested Enhancement
Therefore, and not only for people who work 'cross-border', it would be helpful to add a country code at some points in the CWA / event registration / and more.
In contrast to the definitions in the ISO 3166 coding list - the use of the 'vehicle nationality symbols' would be more common and sensible ("Liste der aktuellen Kennzeichen", column "Kennzeichen"); e.g. D, A, CH, E, F, NL, SLO etc.
This addition of the nationality code in the address fields would be useful, for example, in:
RAT profile screen / Schnelltest-Profil
My QR-Codes / Meine QR-Codes (Event-Registration / Sie planen eine Veranstaltung? / Are you planning an event?)
etc.
Example for event registration:
(The default text in "Ort" could then be: "e.g.: D - 12345 Musterstadt, Musterstr. 12")
The font size should be reduced here in order to generally display longer addresses in full!!
Example for CWA quick test profile form (source: v2.15.1):
(The "PLZ"-field can be splitted into "L" and "PLZ".)
PS: In principle, a country code selection box could also be implemented, which only contains the 'valid' countries - but this is certainly not absolutely necessary and is more inflexible.
Expected Benefits
More international design, better address / country assignments - also for cross-border data exchange -, ...
Thanks for your suggestion @Jo-Achim. We have created an internal ticket for it and will raise this topic internally.
