Menus not working on mac #1163

clicking on menu list on widgets in phy don't produce a drop-down window of functions to choose from (e.g. number of waveforms included).

Using Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

setup using conda environment, python = 3.9.

Same issue. Mac OS Monterey 12.01 on an M1 Macbook Pro but with phy installed and invoked with the rosetta command arch -x86_64. Also I didn't install phy in a conda env, but rather a venv library virtual environment.
