Enhancing date/time input by allowing direct typing

To enhance data input speed and user experience, it can be interesting to also allow the user to type the desired date directly as shown here below. This is interesting for old dates especially, like birthdates.

Unfortunately currently best we can do (without a bigger rework is adding a button to go back 10 years. We're bound by bootstrap UI.
