  1. Is this active?
  2. Has Ed448 standardized in C-language?
TomMD commented 8 years ago
  1. This repo is just a mirror of Hamburgs work which is homed at sourceforge. The main repository has seen updates as of a few hours ago (http://sourceforge.net/p/ed448goldilocks/code/ci/curve25519-work/tree/), though it is a legitimate question if this mirror is going to be re-synced some day.
  2. Don't you think the eprint and/or CFRG curves document in English and Sage are better and sufficient standards?

Unfortunately @coruus passed away in 2016, and I don't believe anyone else has write access to this repository.

DonaldTsang commented 5 years ago

@TomMD I would say a standard in both C (for reference) and Python (but not Sage, for education) are useful.

@diracdeltas very unfortunate, but has anyone tried to update it to keep the repo maintained?

Actually I see now from https://github.com/coruus/ed448-goldilocks/graphs/contributors that @NWilson may have write access and could potentially take over this repo if they wish.

EDIT: On second thought, i'm not sure from https://github.com/coruus/ed448-goldilocks/commits?author=NWilson whether this is just due to some github weirdness with parsing commits on a mirror of a non-github repo.

Status on this project? Also @TomMD is it possible to being Hamburgs to GitHub, or at the very least have an auto-mirroring bot? SourceForge isn't really good with its track record of bad UI and ads.
