My inclination is that reset could be fun with a trigger input, but then I get into anti-click issues from automation, etc. Right now, people already have the option of putting a gate into the DECAY input and turning the attenuverter to some negative setting.
The most important motivation behind my feature is a way to manually resolve instability. I conclude that a push-button is the better control to start with.
Sometimes the simulation destabilizes. Although I have a right-click command to reset the simulation, it would be more convenient to have a push-button that does the same thing.
I have plenty of blank panel space in Polynucleus, unlike in Nucleus. I will contemplate how best to use it for future features, and this is one of them.
For example, I may decide to provide the trigger input only, since that is the best way to automate this function. People can still do it manually through the right-click menu.
To be determined...
