Issue Installing on PopOS #43

Open JGoode2009 opened 6 months ago

JGoode2009 commented 6 months ago

Whenever I get to the sudo apt install python3-nautilus nautilus I receive the following error:

setting up folder color ( 0.3.0) . . .

gtk-update-icon-cache: No theme index file.

dpkg: error processing package folder color (--configure):

installed folder-color package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

Errors were encountered while processing: folder-color

E: subprocess /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Using PopOS 22.04 LTS, Gnome 42.9, and X11 in case that helps. Thanks for your consideration.

costales commented 6 months ago

Hi, Could you paste the complete terminal command? I don't see anything relevant about what the error is. Thanks!

Hi, appears you had a previous installation. Could you try? sudo apt remove folder-color* sudo apt install folder-color

I think is because of try to update the theme Yaru:

https://github.com/costales/folder-color/blob/master/debian/postinst

Do you have the Yaru theme? Could you try to install it before to install folder-color?

sudo apt install yaru-theme-icon

This solved the problem for me.
