Separate Data and OS Disk #3

Unclear if IGM allow that.

It looks like the GA and beta versions of IGM do not currently allow separate disks. This feature may come later.

I'm not sure there's any strong reason to do this. The argument seems to be mostly "that's the way we've always done it."

I'm just going to close this. I can't think of any reason to care.

There's one concern that the maximum size of boot disk is 2TB.

When you create your boot disk, limit the size to 2TB to account for the limitations of MBR partitions
