Unable to join group by entering activity slug when prompted #128

As originally reported by Chris Bujara:

When attempting to enter a group activity code for a collaborative interactive, one of the following error messages is displayed. Opening a collaborative interactive via URL appears to work correctly, but it would be useful to have the option to enter a code as well. The errors are either:

  • Something like "unfair-incident is a group for a different activity. It is a group for the cocoa activity”, when you are opening the cocoa activity, or
  • The less helpful and ever-popular “internal server error"
