All sorts of useful information about every country packaged as convenient little country objects. It includes data from ISO 3166 (countries and states/subdivisions ), ISO 4217 (currency), and E.164 (phone numbers).
I'd like to suggest a change in the french translations.
countries/lib/countries/cache/locales/fr.json sets up the following :
"FR":"France"
In my opinion, it should be like this:
"FR":"France Métropolitaine"
In fact "France" refers to the French territory in Europe + Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane française, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, La Réunion. So there should be either "France Métropolitaine" + these OR "France" only. Otherwise, some may be offended to read that Guadeloupe and others are considered apart from France.
Let me know if anything is not clear as english is not my mother tongue :)
Thanks for raising the issue. This one is a bit tricky:
According to ISO (https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:code:3166:FR), the "FR" code applies to all of the French Republic, and states that Metropolitan France is a part of "FR", as are all the overseas regions
The overseas regions have subdivision codes (ISO 3166-2 codes), such as "FR-971" for Guadeloupe
There was a code for Metropolitan France ("FX"), but it has been merged into "FR" in 1997. See the ISO page, and also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-3 (Entry "FXFR")
