What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening Windows
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Open Windows error message; macfuse is too new

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.3.1, I believe, on OS 10.5.2, with Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.
Just bought PowerBook w/ Windows XP, and Parallels Desktop. When we try to
open the Windows environment, we get a message "Macfuse is too new;
downgrade". I tried to install an older version of Macfuse, but I got an
error message "Can't install. Need Mac OS 10.4" I can not find the
application MacFuse, but can find something tucked into the library. Is Mac
Fuse part of Parallels? Do I even need Parallels since we have Boot Camp? I
don't even freaking know who to call to get help. Completely Lost in
Frbnks. Thanks. john

The error message "too new" is erroneous and has been fixed in the source tree.
Please see:

Sounds like you didn't have the latest Leopard version of MacFUSE to begin
with. Just download:

http://macfuse.googlecode.com/files/MacFUSE-Core-10.5-1.3.1.dmg

and reinstall. Hopefully your issue should be resolved.
