It's not a bad idea. Currently I'm studying about operating systems, when i finish this course i will be back working on the pc. I want to be able to run programs compiled in C in the PC but I have two problems, first the MIPS simulator that I made has a feature that makes impossible to run code compiled for mips (is easy to change but will break the code that I have done). The second problem is that I need to do an high level api to add peripherals and allow people to interact with the OS, so I need to do the OS first.

Actually, I agree on that one. We should split computers into an add-on. I'll leave that to you, because that part of code is dark to me.

Well, finaly I have more free time! I'm making the computer mod for 1.9.4 https://github.com/cout970/ComputerMod and now you can made programs using C, the mod still WIP but I think it will take only a few days to get the first release

Sounds like a fun mod - I will try it when it is stable

I think a better name for the mod would be MIPSKit or MIPSTek inorder to avoid sounding like it has to do with computercraft

I haven't decide the name of the mod yet, but MIPSTek sounds cool
