Prize Bounty

• $5000 USD (Equivalent in KLAY Tokens, paid out on the Klaytn Mainnet)
• Top 3 Prizes:
  • First prize: $2.5k
  • Second Prize: $1.5k
  • Third Prize: $1k

Challenge Description

This track is for developers who are interested in building any other DApp-related use cases on Klaytn ecosystem. Examples of possible use cases could be:

• DAO implementations,
• Transparency Dashboards,
• Onchain Analytics,
• blockchain-enabled traceability applications in the supply chain industry,
• distributed file storage application of data streams, etc.

Challenge Requirement:

• Projects must use the Covalent API to interact with the on-chain data on Klaytn Blockchain (mainnet, testnet, local Klaytn nodes, service chain, etc.)
• Projects must adopt Klaytn’s token standards when building the smart contract of their use cases and such smart contracts should be deployed to the Klaytn Blockchain

Submission Requirements

• Participants from everywhere can participate in this bounty
• You can submit individually, or as a team. Teams should include no more than four people.

What makes a submission complete

• A presentation (PDF, Slidedeck etc) describing the project
• Link to a video demo (YouTube only) is advisable, but not strictly required
• You project live/demo site must be web hosted and publicly accessible
• Your project code repo must be publicly accessible
• The submission must be released under a GPLv3 compatible license

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged by Covalent based on their technical merits as well as the likelihood of implementation.

In general, submissions are graded on a 1-5 scale in each of the following categories

• Originality: Does the template incorporate something entirely novel, or at least take a fresh approach to an existing problem?
• Execution: Is the template usable in its current state? Is the user experience smooth? Does everything appear to work? Is it well designed?
• Usefulness: Is the idea practical? Is it something people would actually use?
• Learning: Did the individual or team stretch themselves and push the boundaries of learning in this space?

While all projects are technically eligible for the pool prize, Klaytn and Covalent judges will have the final say on which projects qualify🙂.

I will utilize my knowledge and experience from the ecosystem in working for these project 3) arielsegura has started work.

We'll build a dapp PoC using covalent and Klaytn. Hopefully it will be an useful tool for hackathon organizers and participants. 4) satyasnehith has started work.

@mushroomgenie and I have started working on this together. 5) aydeveloper has started work.

I intend to build a platform to enable buidlers build with current web3 technologies and get rewarded by the community. A list of approved builders are listed and possibly open for grants to further build their web3 products.

This platform tends to rely on the trustlessness and permissionless feature of the blockchain to help foster trust and get rewarded for building. 6) osazeejedi has started work.

Building a socialfi DApp to used as a crowdfunding platform. 7) iamashwin99 has started work.

The project mainly uses streamlit to drive the frontend, it uses the Covalent API ( one of the sponsors) to fetch onchain results of balances, portfolio valuation, transactions etc from various EVM compatible chains that are supported by covalent. The project is completely written in python except for the few custom components written in javascript. Visualisation/Plotting libraries like Plotly, strealit etc are used extensively. Data management libraries like numpy and pandas are also used extensively 8) chichi244 has started work.

I understand that this bounty is a multi-worker cooperative bounty. Other bounty hunters may be working in parallel with me, but the funder has indicated they will pay the bounty to multiple of us.

I agree to keep the funder informed of my progress every few days.
