I added a procedure, how to make contribution, focused on Git. Printscreens inserted in the file are references to files on my Google Drive to reduce size, hope that is okay.

The steps are described for following clients:

Github desktop
RStudio
CLI (git in terminal)

It might be good to consider to move the file into howto directory or something like that.
