Hi,

Thanks for the dataset. What do the numbers in the columns 'school_closing', 'workplace_closing', 'cancel_events', 'gatherings_restrictions', 'transport_closing','stay_home_restrictions', 'internal_movement_restrictions', 'international_movement_restrictions', 'information_campaigns','testing_policy', 'contact_tracing' indicate?

Thanks

Please check the dataset documentation, section "Policy measures" https://covid19datahub.io/articles/doc/data.html

Thanks. Are you going to include China in the dataset?

eguidotti commented 4 years ago

China is there but only at regional level. We do not aggregate the data because they don't usually sum up to the correct national level counts. There may be several reasons for that: missing regions, missing values, etc...

May you suggest the official data source for national level Chinese data? We would be glad to implement it yes

karunartik222 commented 4 years ago

I will comment it here if I found a dataset for China.

Hello, I can't see the data for after 19th of May. Is there any issue with the library?

eguidotti commented 4 years ago

I just double checked. Everything seems to work fine. Both in R, Python and the csv files. All the data are up-to-date.

Maybe do you mean the vintage data available here? They are generated with a delay of 48 hours to make sure all the observations are complete, and we don't take snapshots of yet not complete data. Infact, there is a natural delay in reporting the data to the local authorities (+24h) and different time zones worldwide (+24h).

It was my mistake. It is working now. Thank you!

Is the datasets variant-specific?

eguidotti commented 2 years ago

Sadly, no. Most of countries don’t provide such information
