Help determine what information should be produced and how it can be used

We're looking for domain experts and folks in the healthcare system that can help direct what information the project is developing and how it can be used. This could take the form of a comment on this issue recommending what data to produce, what visualizations should show to be most impactful, or connecting other organizations or people who can provide input.

The following feedback was provided by a professor in global public health and environmental epidemiology.

• I think what is missing are the public health support functions. In this case, we are talking about surveillance (testing rates, testing sites), health promotion (if they have initiated social distance, closures, etc, and time when they start… and then when they will start re-opening), and implementation of regulatory functions.
• Data by health district (frequently similar to counties) would be quite useful… and maybe ASTHO would be the best source.
• This data set will require insurance rates for accessibility, specially when treatments become available (and more so when vaccines come).
• There are two environmental factors that will influence the virus' survival: PM2.5 concentrations, and temperature. For the latter, I would indicate the average next week temperature… as that will influence the time of survival in the environment of the virus.
• Finally, the identification of specially vulnerable populations: proportion of population older than 60 or 65 (whatever is easier), number of retirement homes, jails, the indigenous counties, and counties where there are more migrant undocumented populations…

Another comment that we should specifically identify vulnerable demographic & health groups, and report the proportional data in these terms. From a physician and professor in global humanitarian health:

• Population demographics that show population level risks distribution such age, obesity, gender, cluster of diseases such as pulmonary disease, kidney, heart, HIV or the distribution of these risk factors among population using each specific health facility or regional etc. While actual system level data is important it wont have much meaning if patient/population level data is missing.
