Portal: Code is not getting generated when user selects any date and directly deletes it after selecting and hitting backspace #517

Steps:

1.Go to Portal and login 2.Now select any date and then select the whole date using ctrl+a and hit delete 3.Now click "Generate Code"

Expected: Code should be generated

I have verified this issue and now this issue is being fixed and working as expected. Hence, I am marking this issue as "Done"
