Got vaccinated but certificate was not generated #348

This is a very important issue (may not be related to APIs). I got vaccinated at a very reputed hospital in Chennai on 13th May 2021. My vaccine certificate was not generated and I haven't got it yet. On asking the hospital, they say that they can't generate the certificate now. How do I get the certificate now?

Shouldn't there be an option for vaccinators to upload back dated certificates from their portals? I am now stuck without knowing what can be done. @cowinapi

My name is Babu Venkatesan aged 64 yrs/male. My reference id for vaccination is : 31541376960190. I had my first dose of Covishield on 03 Apr 2021 at Medway Hospitals. At that time my second dose was due on 28 Apr 2021 which was subsequently changed to 15 May 2021. Accordingly I had scheduled my appointment through CoWin on 15 May 2021 at Coronation centre, Kumbakonam 612001 for Covishield between 09:00 to 11:00 AM. I was vaccinated my second dose after handing over the copy of my Copy of Aadhar card (my mobile number endorsed) and Appointment details. I was told after two days I will get my certificate link through SMS.

  1. After three days when I checked up with the centre, I was told the server has been updated and time gap between the doses for Covishield has been increased to 84 to 112 days. With this although I had completed my vaccine schedule I am not getting vaccination completion certificate.

  2. After vaccinating second dose I had booked my tickets to visit my son staying abroad on 22 Jun 2021 from Chennai.

  3. I, therefore request you to issue Covid vaccine certificate to enable me to travel abroad. An early action is requested.

Try to download your certificate from digilocker app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digilocker.android use the same phone number used while vaccination.

Spoke to the vaccination centre. They say the system is not accepting any data entry as the servers have been updated with new increased time delay for the second dose. Unable to update vaccine records by vaccinator. God only can help.

@anantmi3 - No luck. The issue is that I haven't even been marked as vaccinated.

@karsumit94 - I have got exactly the same response as @Venky1957 . The developers have locked the ability to do a back dated update.

@Venky1957 - The only alternative I have been given by the hospital is to book the slot again and they will give me a certificate for that day. I will get the second shot as per actual timeline but the final certificate will be delayed.

I have already written to all the relevant ministries, corporation of chennai on various platforms. Absolutely no response. I can't believe they have design an app like this.

I don't have any idea what can be done here. Maybe cowin team and relevant authorities can find out some solution.

@kunalkankariya Same thing is happened with me and vaccination center team is not ready to take the responsibility. They told me the same thing to rebook the slot and then updates will be done and there comes restrictions that you must book the slot for your age group only.

I am much surprised by knowing that developers have locked the ability to do updates for past dates. Due to any reasons updates could be missed by center and so, server should allow to make changes with valid reason for past dates.

Developers must come with strong solution for this.

My problem is that tickets have been booked to visit US on 21/06/21 whereas my revised (extended) date by Cowin for second dose is 24/06/21. I got my second dose on 15/05/21 based on appointment provided by same Cowin. Dont know what to do.

@Dipali28 - May I ask which city did you get vaccinated from?

@Venky1957 - Completely understand the situation you are in. I suggest you book an appointment with the same center at the earliest date available and only get the certificate. Isn't that possible?

Got vaccinated from Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Since I got online appointment it is pending with the centre. Earliest date is 24 june. My flight is on 22 june. In catch 22 situation.

REVELING API TO PUBLIC WAS OFFENCE.. RURAL PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO USE API..

WHAT IS THE POINT TO SHARE THE API.

@kunalkankariya I have also faced the same issue. I got vaccinated(1st dose) in Salem district of TamilNadu on 28-May-21. But I haven't received the vaccination certificate yet. When I contacted the respective health centre, they asked me to book a future slot to get a certificate as they cannot update past dates.

It would be very useful if @cowinapi comes up with a solution for this

Facing same issue, vaccinated but certificate not generated and unable to register again as it shows already this person has been registered via given phone number even when login with phone number it has no member detail , blank screen shown.

no way to get certified now. please help, suppor@cowinaudio.com does not reply too.

This issue still persists. My Mom got her second dose of vaccination but on the COWIN app it still shows that only the first dose of vaccination is complete.
