Request: Future version for Framework 16? (Intel CPU + AMD GPU) #1

Congrats on getting it to work! Always been interested in this and wanted to see if it was possible before getting a Framework laptop myself.

I would use this one to make an install for it (though not sure where to start) but that would have a newer CPU and I'm particularly interested in the upcoming 14th gen CPUs

I believe this is possible with the release of the Framework 16 and its modular GPU. But only if it's RDNA2 architecture (ie. radeon rx6600, rx6700 with NootRX, rx6800) due to macOS not supporting RDNA3.

In other words, we wait for a company to release a modular GPU for the Framework 16, using an RX6000-series chip.

Could an MXM Module work with an adapter? 🤔

I mean, I'd imagine? It should be possible to map the PCIe and power lines in Framework's Expansion card to an MXM card. Assuming that there's no custom presence detection or communication going on.
