When Colette did Customer and Bookings, she made the link from Customer to Bookings (where cozemble is designed for the opposite). But doing this makes sense. For one, it doesn't really matter which end you define the relationship from. And supporting both sides fills the need that Phil has to see all MOT Checks when viewing Customers.
Here is one approach: to make references a thing, like edges in a graph.
