The role of Genus_species_taxid_sampleid_otherids? #5

Hello, I have encountered a problem, in the process of writing sample_file, the taxid of some species is not found in NCBI, I would like to ask whether the taxid in sample_file is strict? What is the role of Genus_species_taxid_sampleid_otherids in this process? Is it possible if I don't follow Genus_species_taxid_sampleid_otherids? Is there any impact on program running? Thank you for any advice.

Hi, I apologize for the (very) late reply. The taxid is not necessary to process it was for ORTHOSKIM, which is compatible with REFMAKER, you can remove it or to change it by the taxID of the Genus. Cheers, Charles
