I'm in. I'm doomed.

I'll probably use lilypond (http://lilypond.org/) for score engraving, like I did for Speak & Play: http://moonmilk.com/2012/02/08/instrument-a-day-7-speak-and-play/

I was a bit groggy when I looked at this page last night, and I had to read the first paragraph about three times before I realized what it was. Then I nearly fell off my chair.

Thanks for the lilypond rec, I wouldn't even be trying this without that. I haven't actually started using it yet as I'm bogged down in the libretto, but I read through the docs and it seems tractable.

I'm not gonna make it by the official deadline. But I'm gonna do this someday - maybe for February's http://monthlymusichackathon.org/
