working well. p /lib/glass appears OK, as well as hget 
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs/examples/UTF-8-demo.txt | p.

the only issue now appears to be combining characters - see 'Combining 
characters:' in UTF-8-demo.txt.
