stuff that needs to be done in the installer:

partdisk
prepdisk
configfs
 implement cwfs and kfs support

mountdist
 this stage is kind of useless, and broken (missing cdsh)

copydist
 use disk/mkfs instead of replica to copy files

I've applied Fish-'s installer patches to our current sources and imported. 
After booting the system, glenda is not allowed to remove /srv/boot.

Installed in VMware Fusion 3.1.1 with inst/textonly with no problems. Attempted 
installation on Thinkpad T23 (which had a pre-existing Plan 9 install) with 
inst/gui. mountfs provides a listing of /rc/bin/inst in place of potential 
cwfs64x partitions.

After zeroing the disk, installed on T23 using inst/textonly with no problems.
