Would it be possible, when setting a timer, instead of giving admin access for the app to lock phone, for the app to just close itself, kinda like purpleTV does?

why? it already closes the player

It closes the player, but not the app. This, at least for my phone (samsung a40), doesn't lock the phone and leaves the phone screen on for entire night.
