[3.x]: Only one selected category remaining on article save #13205

What happened?

Description

On selecting multiple categories for an entry and pressing 'save', only one is subsequently remaining.

Then if going back to select more, the multiple selections appear again, although not on save - and the entries do not appear in queries regarding that 'invisible' category. Have taken a series of screengrabs as attached.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select multiple categories.
  2. Save entry.

Expected behavior

Entry should be in multiple categories.

Actual behavior

Entry is only in one category.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I'm having trouble replicating this behaviour. Any chance you could send over your composer.json, console.lock and database export to support@craftcms.com so we can dig deeper?

This has (possibly) turned into (or is related to) a bigger issue that our hosts are helping with; the connection to the mysql database just stopped yesterday afternoon, and our hosts (Arcustech) have not been able to restore to a snapshot, and the backup I have also isn't communicating (!)

Hey @emmaswann, was Arcustech able to get your site back up?
