File upload not working when parent directory name contains accents #3193

Description

On an otherwise working asset upload field, if the parent directory name contains an accent (é, è, but surely other characters as well), the upload doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Setup an asset upload
  2. Create a local directory with special characters in his name and files in it (for exemple: carré)
  3. From the Craft admin, navigate to the directory, select one or more files and confirm.

Fabrice, you might want to say if you are seeing this from a Mac or Windows workstation, and with which browser -- could be aspects of how the problem occurs...
