Currently, the copy reads:

Powered by Crafter CMS v3.1.6-SNAPSHOT. Check it out here. Report a bug. Crafter News.

Observations:

• Crafter CMS is powered by Crafter CMS? (When you read this you are in Crafter CMS - in Studio, sure (internally) but from a product standpoint (externally, brand-wise), you are using Crafter CMS.)
• "Check it out here": Check out what? The version, the CMS, something else? Also, wonder how many hits we get from this.
  • From an accessibility perspective "here" is a poor link text.
• "Crafter News" is nice but ultimately since we already have a link to craftercms.org, is it necessary? Wonder how many hits we get from this.
• The copy could use some formatting to look better on the different places it gets rendered.

Suggestions:

• Change "Powered by Crafter CMS" to "Crafter CMS"
  • Use the "Crafter CMS" text as the link to craftercms.org that is currently attached to "Check it out here". *Remove "Check it out here".
  • Add an analytics variable to the link URL (e.g. craftercms.org?campaign=studio&version=x.y.z) to track hits.
• Remove "Crafter News". If kept, add an analytics variable to the link URL (e.g. blog.craftercms.org?campaign=studio&version=x.y.z) to track hits.
• Link the version to the downloads page or GitHub branch/tag or similar.
• Add HTML or chunk the pieces for the UI to format.
  • If we add HTML, the UI can simply strip tags out if it needs the cleartext.
  • If we chunk the pieces of the copy (e.g. make it into an array), the UI can format in any way it wants.

Result

Crafter CMS v3.1.6-SNAPSHOT. Report a bug.

In addition to addressing the observations listed above, this ends up being nice and short which plays better with the sidebar rendering of this.

This could be a place to add the OOS attribution too if desired
