External USB DVD? #185

I have a question, can I use External DVD to run gamecube backup (DVD-R/+R/DL) 
on Nintendont by connecting on USB? I heard people said, if you have the 
original gamecube disc, you need External DVD drive with appropriate code (LG 
GDR-8082N) on it instead of run on the Wii newer disc drive and Wii U on Wii 
Mode disc drive. By the way, I have no problem using the Nintendont, but 
sometimes its a bit buggy, I just want see if External DVD works on Nintendont.
