General task view improvements

Format: We have converted the old XML-based task views file now to the new Markdown-based format. Please check the resulting .md file whether everything is in order or some corrections/improvements are needed. See the corresponding documentation for more details.

Update: This would also be a good time to check the entire task whether it is up to date and correct. A write-up of the general goals and content guidelines is now summarized in the workflow for proposing new task views (which was not yet available when you authored your task view). Improving your task view to conform more closely with these goals and guidelines, if necessary, would be highly appreciated.

Co-maintainers: In particular, we strongly encourage that all task views not only have a principal maintainer but also 1-5 co-maintainers in order to get more inspirations for extensions/improvements and share the maintenance workload. You are already two co-maintainers but maybe it would make sense to bring in one or two additional "fresh" persons, ideally adding to the diversity of the maintainer team?

Thomas @tpetzoldt so far there was no activity and, in particular, I had no follow-up from Karline. Did you hear from her?

If not, I would suggest that you take over as the principal maintainer, i.e., list yourself first in the maintainer field and put your address into the email field. Additionally, I would recommend to find some active co-maintainer(s) to help share the workload.

Finally, to check the new format, it would be great if you could run ctv2html("DifferentialEquations.md"), look at the resulting .html file, and make changes as necessary.

These two points above should ideally be addressed as soon as possible. If you are also able to add some further updates, that would be great as well. But the latter would also be possible at any later point, of course.

If you want to re-invite Karline to be a maintainer for this repository here on GitHub, you have the rights to do so (under Settings > Access > Collaborators and teams).

I just noticed that you now provide both of your e-mail addresses: Please just use a single e-mail address for the principal maintainer. Like for CRAN packages there should be a single point of contact.

Thanks, Thomas! I have turned your project "Public" now and listed it on the ctv main page. If you want to do more tweaks and touch-ups in the .md, it will still be a week or so before we release the new workflow on CRAN.
